ABOUT
Dan has been in the hardwood flooring business for 32 years. He is a refinisher and an expert in hardwood floor repair who has installed all types of engineered and laminate flooring too. Now, at 65 he is expanding into household repair and other "handyman" jobs. After many years in the business, he hopes to keep his work locally and do smaller jobs. Dan plans to work at least another 10 years.

Dan the Floor Man
Dan splits his time between reading books using this new fangled device called a Kindle and walking his dog. If you happen to be out and about for his daily walks you may spot him in his natural habitat. With questionable style choices which have to be corrected by his part time employee, this man is impossible to miss.
Jerri in the Chair
Jerri is the woman in the chair. She monitors the crazy antics of her husband Dan and the business to ensure their smooth sailing. Though not paid overtime she has been known to take long trips on the beach. Her favorite beach is Alameda Beach, but do not try to find her, she is a ninja.
Legacy

Dave Fisher started The Floor Works shortly after graduating from Simpson College in 1976. Dan Classen started working for Dave in 1985. In 2006 Dave and Daphne Fisher felt called to other fields of work and Dave sold The Floor Works to Dan and Jerri Classen. Dan and Jerri have operated The Floor Works for the last 4 years. During the last 2 years the economic climate has been hard on small business but due to 30 years of loyal customers The Floor Works has been able to continue to do what it has always done i.e. good work for a fair price with respect for our customers and their homes. We don't plan to change that. That ethic of valuing the work and our customers will keep us in business.
